click this link for research: Dreams in Literature
Most of the novels, poetry, etc. in the link above are written by Americans, but there are a few that if carefully researched might be good for our research.
James Joyce was an Irish writer and best known for Finnegan's Wake (1939). Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky was a Russian writer who explored human psychology in the troubled political, social and spiritual context of 19th-century Russian society. This could be good to answer the question about mysticism affecting Religion/Politics.
Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) might be fun for the presentation.
I will look for female writers as there does not appear to be many.
For concepts, I was thinking about the mythological creature/being "Morpheus" who is said to be the keeper of dreams. I would like us to research how the character came into being and what influence it has had on literature.
